Part-Time Job Adjunct Professor – Arts Administration
The Arts Administration (ARAD) program at Teachers College, Columbia University is currently an adjunct professor to teach the following courses in spring 2018:
Principles and Practices: Visual Arts (A&HG 5174)
A continuation of Principles & Practice: Arts Administration (A&HG 4170) with special reference to the application of management principles and skills to the visual arts, including museums, commercial and cooperative galleries, artist spaces, public art, corporate and individual collectors and artists. Focus on mission definition, strategic planning, organizational development, program development, and resource generation.
We seek instructors who hold a graduate degree and who have demonstrated excellence in teaching and/or public speaking, multiple years of experience working in arts organizations, and a commitment to diversity and social justice in the cultural sector.

About ARAD: The Arts Administration graduate program at Teachers College, Columbia University offers a Masters in Arts Administration encompassing the visual and performing arts. It is a comprehensive, two-year, 60-credit program informed by both research and professional practice. Through a highly selective and holistic review process, ARAD only accepts 30 applicants each year, bringing together students from across art traditions and sectors, backgrounds, and geographies who are training for careers in for- and non-profit organizations and across areas including management, advocacy/policy, assessment, development, entrepreneurship, education and marketing both in the U.S. and abroad.
