Summary

Camille is a street artist, independent curator, writer, and art worker based in Tiohtià:ke/Montreal. Their artistic and curatorial practice is based around emotional memories in public spaces and radical love for biodiversity. They work with collage and textiles. Camille is the co-founder of Unceded Voices/ Les Voix Insoumises, a collective of international street artists and muralists and they were the guest curator for the project We are not made of bricks and dust, the first visual art project in public space organized by the City of Montreal’s Réseau Accès Culture. They recently co-edited the book D’horizons et d’estuaires, Entre mémoires et créations autochtones published by Éditions Somme Toute and their texts have been published in Canadian Art Magazine and Espace Art Actuel, among others. Camille was recently the Director of Programming for the Indigenous Curatorial Collective/Collectif des Commissaires Autochtones(ICCA), a national non-profit arts organization that aims to support Indigenous curators, artists and cultural workers across Canada. Their work has been presented in the United States and Sweden, and one of their artwork is part of the permanent collection of the City of Pointe-Claire.
